Pennine v Derbyshire v Dales XC comp in March

We (the Dales) have been challenged to an XC comp by Pennine and Derbyshire.
The first round will be on an XC-able weekend in March (assuming there
is one)
There may be one or more rounds depending on how things go.
DSC and PSC will be fielding experienced teams and the comp is targetted
towards pilot rated candidates
who have experience of XC. I know there are some XC hungry pilots out
there and this will be a good way to
kick off the year.
In previous years we have participated in the BCC where less experienced
pilots were mixed with XC hounds.
This can have safety implications for one thing and I don't think the
same level of support will be available in this comp.
If you are club pilot rated and looking for your first XC, the coaching
sessions would probably be a better forum.
Also, if I recall correctly, the pennine team usually field some of
their best pilots. We might try and score a
War of the Roses in with this. I can't remember the last time we won a
War of the Roses comp.
So if any skygods would like to step forward and show us how it's done
... don't be modest ... you know who you are.

I've raised that this might conflict with the repack on the 10th March.

Would love to get involved as a hangie in the comps if there are hangies
from other clubs, or I could just embarrass myself by competing with the
floppy sky gods.
I am hoping to do the re pack, but have not put my name down yet. Must get
round to it.
