I’m excited to inform you that we’ve received your application for the adult Learn to Hunt grant, and your Dakota Southeast Pheasants Forever Chapter Women’s Pheasant Hunt has been pre-approved!
As a quick reminder, the reimbursement process works as follows:
- Your chapter will pay for the entire event upfront.
- After reporting the event and completing the attached checklist we will transfer 50% of the expenses (up to $500) to your chapter’s CMS account.
To help you with the process, please use the attached checklist, which will guide you through the necessary steps and objectives.
Resources:
- Women’s Events Page: Tips and resources for hosting impactful women’s events.
- Resources Tab: Includes helpful documents such as best practices for hosting women’s events and the Women on the Wing brand guide.
- How to Hunt Upland Birds Course: A free course you can share with participants before or after the event.
Important Tasks:
- Create the event in the Upland Events Platform and register participants ahead of time
- Pre-Event and Post-Event Surveys: These surveys help us assess the success of our women’s programs.
- Send the pre-event survey to participants before the event.
- Allow 15 minutes before departure for participants to complete the post-event survey.
- Survey Tip: Print the attached QR code and have it available at the event for participants to scan and complete the survey on their phones. Please do not print paper surveys as it would be difficult to transfer data into an electronic format for analysis. This method is most effective when someone walks through the group with the QR code on a clipboard encouraging participants to take the survey in real time.
- I will send you the results in aggregate, so you can gain insights into how participants felt and any opportunities to improve future events.
