Gentlemen:

Trusting that this forwarded email is viewable by all of you, it would appear that this proposed planting of 159.2-acres in native grasses is also a viable project.  This native planting of Dan Braaten’s would certainly be in our Primary Target Area.  The “rest of the money” she refers to in this email amounts to $5800 as we discussed at our meeting last night.  I am waiting to hear back from her this morning as far as reallocating the funds elsewhere if that is what we decide to do.

Trusting the NDG&F can simply reallocate funds internally without the need to refund a check and then ask us for a new check, I will make a suggestion.  If we add the amount we tentatively allocated to Hamilton Wills WMA this year of $3600 to this “extra” $5800, it totals $9400.  My suggestion is to divide that amount in half and allocate $4700 to each project.  If our DSEPF Chapter agrees, I can simply have NDG&F redirect $1100 of the $5800 to the Hamilton Wills WMA project so that both it and the new Dan Braaten native planting project will each get $4700.

If technology doesn’t fail me, I will attach my 2016 Habitat Project Summary spreadsheet reflecting this suggestion.  Let me know what you all think so I can communicate the appropriate message to NDG&F.

Thanks,
Russ

Good Morning, Hope your enjoying this weather if you haven’t’ left to go down south yet J.

I have a question for you, I have changed  a few species on  RaeDells seed mix and it won’t cost as much as I originally anticipated, but I have another native planting going to be planted not too far from RaeDells, and if it’s ok I was wondering if after RaeDells cost share is paid, I could use the rest of the money to help cost share on the seed mix on the other one.. And again I would have a sign made showing you helped partner in the project.. It would be for Dan Braatens native planting, we have a signed PLOTS contract for 10 years with him… Will be planted this spring 2016 below is the location, seed mix, and a aerial map for him, Let me know what you think, Thanks

Russ’ proposal sounds good to me, with the condition that the new Dan Braaten project will get funded contingent on the Heritage Fund grant being met as we discussed.  Looks like worst case scenario if the other chapters don’t step up on the Heritage Fund grant is that we would need to fund another $4,500 for that project.

How does everyone vote on the above motion/proposal?

I agree with Tim's additional condition. What are the chances of the other chapters not stepping up?
