Forever Shooting Sports Endowment

This is the link to Shawna's Shooting Team. This reports how much money her team has earned in this endowment. 

I spoke to John Lindquist this afternoon and he filled me in the on the details behind this endowment. Right now (and this expires Nov 30th) the MidwayUSA Foundation is matching 3:1. So for every $1 we contribute, they contribute $3. What Tim and I are thinking of doing is contribute $3000 and they would match another $9000 to Shawna's fund. 

Her team would be able to use 5% each year of that towards their team needs (Except Guns and Political Lobbying). There are teams that have over $500,000 in their fund and live off that interest every year. 

The $3000 would be pulled from LAF and applied to this endowment. 

Attached is a Winchester Model 70 Adapt A Team Fund Raising Program. We could explore this for a raffle for Shawna's team to sell raffle tickets for the unique gun chambered in .280. Only 500 produced. Shawna's team doubled in size this 2nd year and would likely have a lot of kids to sell raffle tickets. As a chapter, we would need to arrange the permits and oversee that they make diligent efforts to raise at least $3000 and $1500 (or half the amount raised) would be submitted into the MidwayUSA Foundation and matched (whatever the ratio would be at that time). This raffle would expire in end of the year 2015. The remaining funds we keep will go towards promoting youth shooting sports within our organization. (See page 2 of attachment starting half way down) 

One thing is that applying for a permit might be tricky. Tim and I will need to explore how to get a permit for this.
