Good afternoon,
I am happy to remind you all that we are just a few days away from our annual youth hunt! I am sending this email to provide a few reminders and updates. If you RSVP'd and recieve this email, I am counting on a guardian and participant to be in attendance at the event Saturday morning. Please notify me ASAP if you are not able to attend, we have a wait list!
Due to the impact this warm weather has on the bird dogs, we have decided to have registration start an hour earlier. We ask everyone be at the learning center (see image below for location in red) at 7 a.m. for registration. Please ensure participants are dressed for upland hunting (pants, boots, orange clothes and vest.) We will have water bottles but please bring any other specific food or beverages that you need.
Saturday morning, we will meet for registration, orientation, a light breakfast and then split into two groups. One group will be shooting trap and .22s and the other will in the fields. After about 1.5 hours, both groups will meet back at the learning center and switch activities.
After, a warm meal (burgers and hot dogs) will be provided for lunch back at the learning center. We encourage you to clean your birds outside at the learning center after the hunt. There will be volunteers availale to provide guidance.
Due to the fact many particiapnts will be traveling about 1.5 hours to attend the event, Bob who managed Stiklestad Lodge, has offered to allow people to stay at the lodge Friday night ($55 per person.)
Please reply to B...@stiklestadlodge.com if you plant to come out on Friday night. I know a few of us plan to stay there.

Below are links to videos that Pheasants Forever has created that I ask your youth participant watches prior to Saturday.

A special thanks to Stiklestad lodge, NAVHDA, Dakota SE chapter of Pheasants Forever, ND Game and Fish, Meats by John and Wayne, Hornbachers and Lonnie with the RRRMC and all volunteer to make this event happen.
We ask you make saftey as much of a priority as we do. Take picutes, enjoy this leaning and fun opportunity to kick off the 2025 pheasant season!!
See you all soon,
Mark Sorenson
