Gang,

Just wanted to start a conversation about lining up our next annual coyote hunt.

Here are some things to think about. It would be nice to get more teams involved and/or not show up.

Date? (Is there any conflicting events in area that day?)
  • Feb 20th is first choice
  • Alternative?
2-3 Man Teams?
  • Thinking about allowing a 3rd person to team
Registration?
  • Do we do check in at hosting location?
  • Is Davenport Supper club ok or consider another place?
  • Registration Time? 6am?
  • Check in? 6pm?
Team fee?
  • $30
Addition? Any other ideas? Prizes?

Keep in mind that this isn't intended to be a money maker for the chapter. Just a social and have some fun cutting the local coyote population down.

Attached is a list of guns for review. I stopped into both Bills GS and Outdoorsman. The Pricing under bills is our buy pricing, the pricing under outdoorsman is retail. outdoorsman wouldn't give me a buy pricing until we narrowed the list and told them how many we would actually buy. Makes me no difference where we get them, both places have better deals on different guns, however BILLS GS in my opinion is friendlier-easier to deal with.

For corporate raffle I talked with outdoorsman on the yeti coolers, they said they are getting easier to get but still not reliable. I would recommend we do a shotgun/print/gift card this year. Card could be to a selection of choice?

I have highlighted yellow on the list the guns I would recommend, we can discuss at the next meeting. If someone has an idea of another gun not on the list let me know and I will add it to the list for pricing.

Per the NICS check

Outdoorsman - will come the night of and do it on site "If tony or mike are available" - No added cost (need internet connection)

Bills G/S - Will come the night of. They would have to regardless since a gun cannot leave their custody without a NICS, even with payment. (not sure how outdoorsman gets around that one) Also if we do a handgun and a MN resident wins, they can do NIC at bills in moorhead. Cannot do it the night of because of handgun requirements, if we get PF guns they said they would take delivery and do the NICS for it. They charge a fee of $100 per 10 guns. (need internet connection)

What are thoughts on the 17 hmr or 870 for corporate gun? I believe we target $300 for budget on sponsor guns.

This is a great start on guns for us to chew on.

Matt will get us banquet info as soon as he can which typically includes 1 or 2 gun options.

Thank you

I would be more in favor of the 17 for a corporate gun but either would be just fine.

Personally I would be in favor for the 17 HMR just because almost everybody has an 870 already
