Dear Members,

We wish everyone a happy and prosperous Vishu and New Year.

Dakksh Vishu celebrations will be held on April 22, Sunday. This time, there will be a change in the venue to a more central location at Kerala Club, M Block, Connaught Place (on the outer circle opposite Gopal Das Bhawan and The Statesman, Barakhamba road) From 10.30 AM.

Keeping with the tradition, we will have “Vishu Kani” followed by “Vishu Kaineettam” distribution by elders, cultural programmes and a sumptuous Vishu Sadya.

Those coming by Delhi Metro may please get down at Rajiv Chowk station and take number 3, 4 exits towards Barakhamba road. Kerala club is located on the first floor in the corner of the building.

We plan to have a debate this time for children. The topic is “Use and misuse of mobile phones and internet, especially social networking sites like facebook and twitter. The following points may be considered.

a) How do you utilize them, which is the most attractive feature of each one of the above.

b) How are they useful in your day-to-day life?

c) What are the threats you face from such activities?

Also let us know any suggestions regarding the cultural programmes,
quiz show, essay competition and any other issue.
