Dakksh 3rd anniversary celebrations on January 30

Dear Members,
We will be celebrating the thrid Dakksh
anniversary on January 30, Sunday at the Community Hall, Supreme
Enclave, Mayur Vihar Phase-1, Delhi. This time we have to start the
proceedings early at 10.00am as the hall will be available only till
2.30pm.

The date has been changed from January 26 in view of traffic
restrictions on Republic Day.

On the occasion, we will be giving away awards for academic
excellence. Please let us know the subject and marks in advance. The
best students from the DAAKSH community at the School Final (Grade X),
Higher Secondary (Grade XII) will be awarded

The essay competition is also being revived. Please e-mail the entries
to nandkum...@gmail.com. Topics are given below.


Sub-Juniors (Upto 10 years)

1) Birthday Party or how I celebrated my birthday.

Juniors (between 10 to 15 years)

1) Describe about a book which you read recently

2) Describe about a film you saw recently.

Seniors (15 and above)

1) Corruption

2) Conducting mega sporting events like Commonwealth Games –
is it useful or is it a waste of money?

3) Board Examinations – Is it necessary or not?

4) Importance of knowing your culture or tradition.

We will have cultural programmes and quiz competitions to enliven the
occasion. With a view to improve participation, a new item – Couple
Quiz – will be introduced. First Part will be an incident which is
special to them that stays etched in the memory of their lives. In the
second, five specific questions will be asked to each member of the
couple. Scoring is on the most truthful, acceptable answers. .

To add more flavor to the gathering, another innovative item –
Pedigree Quizz – will be introduced. Details of which are being worked
out. Inspired by the widespread participation, Antakshari round will
be continued.

The regular round of quiz will be continued.

In addition, a new item of Memory Quiz will also be introduced for
children.

Annual Elections will be held for the office bearers for DAAKSH..
