Dear all,

Version 1.12.0 of the DAISY Pipeline 2 project is now available for download. The following alternative packages are proposed:

for Windows users (exe file, 104 MB): https://github.com/daisy/pipeline-assembly/releases/download/v1.12.0/pipeline2-1.12.0_windows.exe
for Mac OS X users (dmg file, 138 MB): https://github.com/daisy/pipeline-assembly/releases/download/v1.12.0/pipeline2-1.12.0_mac.dmg
for Linux users (zip file, 83 MB): https://github.com/daisy/pipeline-assembly/releases/download/v1.12.0/pipeline2-1.12.0_linux.zip
for Linux users (debian package, 78 MB): https://github.com/daisy/pipeline-assembly/releases/download/v1.12.0/pipeline2-1.12.0_debian.deb

All distributions include the graphical user interface (GUI), all the conversion scripts, and a native command line tool (CLI).

This release has some major internal changes that are mostly invisible to the user. Most notably, the messaging and progress indication system has had a major revision.

The command line interface now has progress indication, option validation, and the "help" command has been improved.

Feature-wise, this release has an improved HTML chunking, including a new option "chunk-size" for the daisy3-to-epub3, dtbook-to-epub3, dtbook-to-html, zedai-to-epub3 and zedai-to-html scripts. There is now also a global configuration file for TTS voices.

Please refer to the full release notes at https://github.com/daisy/pipeline-assembly/releases/tag/v1.12.0

User documentation is available on the project’s web site: http://daisy.github.io/pipeline/

If you have any problems or identify some bugs, please report them to the Pipeline team using our issue tracker on GitHub: https://github.com/daisy/pipeline/issues

As usual, feedback is warmly welcome!

Bert and Romain, for the Pipeline team
