Hello people,

I am trying to use daisy to see its utility in modeling recharge and water flow through the vadose zone in an arid (and semi-arid) region. I would like to know if someone here has ever worked with this kind of regions, and what kind of considerations you would have regarding vegetation. Vegetation has proven to be a little difficult to work with. I am trying to use the permanent vegetation model by Daisy, changing the LAIvsDAY values, as well as the albedo and the EpFac and IntcpCap. If you know any way in which Daisy can work easier with permanent vegetation, especially for this type of climate, I would very much appreciate some tips/ideas.

Regards,

To be also a little bit more specific about my doubts, I want to understand well how the permanent veetation models are integrated in Daisy´s simulations. I haven´t been able to find the mathematical role of some variables used in the permanent vegetation models. e.g rs_min, or minimum transpiration resistance.
