I am using the Toliss Airbus models in X-Plane 11 in combination with SAM3. Loading baggage, fuel and passengers via SAM fails since there is no configuration file available for the A320neo. Does anybody know if we can expect a proper config file or has anybody a working xml and wants to share with us?
You are not alone in this requirement but since Stairport (and this is THEIR problem) isn't providing any configurations or support these days it will be a long wait. In the XP12 Utilities forum SAM topic I try to explain how to edit an existing XML. This information applied to existing XML that worked for XP11 and then a new version of an aircraft comes out for XP11/XP12 and changes the 3 pieces of information above that has to be matched again to make it work.
Well, "Simple ground service" which was quoted and is primarily my reason for my humble participation on this very forum thread is a fork from an early version of my script SGES (Simple Ground Equipment & Services) that you can find in my signature.
I posted about this on the Aerosoft forums (which seems to be the official support channel) almost a week ago and not so much as a peep from anyone. I seriously doubt they'll respond here, let alone provide support or configurations.
Well I use SAM3 with Toliss A321 and no problems. Yes aircraft configuration updates are required for aircraft that have been updated to XP12. This is due to the identifying requirements no longer matching.
You need to obtain the name of the ACF file being used, Author, Description for the aircraft then perform the edit on the XML for your aircraft. Best to copy one that exists and did work and then edit line one to match and you should be good to go.
Do you have Traffic Global and SAM integration enabled? Then disable TG SAM integration and see if that helps. 'Crashes' isn't informative enough. The fix suggested resolves a 'freeze' followed by a 'crash' recovery. Other time if XP issue then Crash outright and will usually produce a dump.
SAM is a heavy machinery and I have decided to stay away from it years ago. This is a borderline plugin I would say, in terms of conflicting with the simulator. I prefer to code my own ground service, and while SAM authors stated (if I recall well) it was not possible to get animated passengers, I decided to showcase it was possible to have animated and moving passengers.
Tried out your profile. Thank you. There is a problem with the doors. Thinks there are two doors at the left front and connecting to the invisible doors. Cargo looked good and nice job on having two baggage carts loading. Didn't try catering.
Actually found a little discrepancy with the profile in XP11. The Jetway does not align with the exit L1 exactly, it seems a little high - see screenshot below. Any chance some with the proper knowledge for sam profiles might fix that?
My door alignment is not that bad and nothing like your picture. Is it a SAM jetway? what scenery? Payware? Sorry for the questions but a single picture shows the problem but I did not get these dramatic results at CYVR gate 86. A little bit different but close enough to ignore and I moving to XP12.
Startup up in XP12 using XP11 acf and the door alignment is good enough. Am I going to go through trial and error to manually adjust the X Y Z coordinates for XP11 manually. No but you are welcome to try. Edit the XML for XP11 and locate LF1.
This could be many things. XP gateway airport, autogate jetway, Like I said my alignment at same airport I know has sam jetways and although not perfect still close enough for me to ignore get the plane ready for flight.
Hi guys, i put the xml file in my Plugins - SAM - Aircrafts folder and into my Toliss A320 Aircraft Folder but it's still saying that there's no valid config found. (XP11) May you quickly write how you installed it? Thanks
If you want to check that this is the cause then maybe try running MSFS with an empty community folder and then load into one of the larger airports with, say, the default A320 and see if a pushback tug is available. If it is there then the root cause is a problematic 3rd party airport.
How annoying that a developer makes us pass through this.
There should be a fully detailed manual or tutorials on how to build anything for this sim
There is a lot of stuff in Youtube containing wrong information, dated or missing.
Hello
Is anybody aware of a recent (freeware or payware) airport or update that is causing the usual no pushback tug is available?
I might have updated something that is currently causing that and search among the pile is really annoying
Finally the Services file has to be named Services.spb (or Services.xml, though, somebody else has claimed that Services.xml files also break the system. My own testing in the past refutes this, but that testing was all done prior to SU9, so I may be out of date on functionality changes since then).
I put Services files in all my packages and they work fine. So just removing all of them is a brute force method of fixing. But filenaming and contents of the Services file is super important to it working properly.
You also might want to search for LivingWorld_cfg files as well. These will affect all the airports in the region(s) they are written for and can affect which vehicles are available for your airport services.
Thank you for this info, I had no idea what could be causing this until I found your post. With add-ons linker I was able to bifurcate with trial and error and find the offending items, which for me were a couple of Australian Highway landing strips from flightsim.to. I deleted the AirportServices directories and all OK now.
I have just been watching a 'cold and dark' start up tutorial on youtube - and on the external view, I could see luggage being loaded and a fuel truck refuelling the A320. Is this something which can be activated within The Fenix (as you can with the PMDG 737) or is it an external programme?
