Never thought we would do this, but my heart is forcing me to do so now.

Couple weeks ago we sent out pictures of three new puppies arriving from Arkansas for fostering.  Vince the darker one was adopted within a few days.

Ross and Shayla were to be picked up last Sunday Morning to go to their fur-ever home.  Then, Saturday night they became terribly sick with Parvo. This is an insidious disease they may have picked up on their journey north. It attacks the digestive system, preventing their intestines from absorbing nutrients from food.  After a few days of home remedies and vet counseling, on our 53 wedding anniversary (23 December) it was determined they had to be rushed to the Vet.  Determined that Ross could not be saved and he was put down.  This was definitely the most tearful anniversary we ever experienced.

Shayle came home but got worse.  Determined she had to go to the animal hospital in Walpole.  Now we are into some bucks.  Normally $1,000 a day, for fosters they reduce it to around $500 per day.  She's already been there for three days and no end is in sight.

This one is a real cutie, soft as a Charmin Tissue and has a most loving personality.  There is an effort afoot to raise funds sufficient to keep her in the hospital long enough to help save her life.

Like I said, we have never done this before, but my heart tells me to at least try.

Below is a site where you can read the story more in depth and if your heart is touched you can join us in saving this young lady.

Thank you so much for your consideration.
