A Different Way to Persuade

Read Philemon 1:22

   "22 One more thing - have a guest room ready for me. I hope that, because of your prayers, God will give me back to you."

Observe 

   Paul treated himself like a slave who could be given to someone. He also warned Philemon that he would be checking up on how Philemon treated Onesimus. 

   There are so many layers in this letter - so many different ways to try to persuade Philemon to set Onesimus free. Paul was quite creative. 

   God is even more creative in the ways he persuades people to come to Jesus to be set free from slavery to sin.

   Ask someone today how God drew them to Jesus.
