Read Hebrews 3:1-4

   "1 Brothers and sisters, you are holy partners in a heavenly calling. So look carefully at Jesus, the apostle and chief priest about whom we make our declaration of faith."

Observe

   How can Jesus be one of the apostles? Actually, he is not; he is THE apostle, and the chief priest. Our declaration of faith is that Jesus is the messenger from God showing us the Father. Jesus is also the chief priest reconciling us to the Father by removing our guilt. 

   We believe this by faith, which itself is a gift from God.
