Conflicting Desires

Read Hebrews 5:7-10

   "7 During his life on earth, Jesus prayed to God, who could save him from death. He  prayed and pleaded with loud crying and tears, and he was heard because of his devotion to God."

Observe 

    Jesus was heard, but he still died. God could've saved him from death, but he did not. Jesus started asking not to die, but ended with "your will be done". It was this devotion that got him heard by God. 

   Jesus had conflicting desires and wisely chose the correct desire by the end of his prayer. I believe God also has conflicting desires (none perish, wide is the road to destruction), but wisely chooses the correct desire to pursue.

Do

   Watch out for conflicting desires today. Ask God which desire to pursue.
