Read Hebrews 5:11-14

   "11 We have a lot to explain about this. But since you have been too lazy to pay attention, explaining it to you is hard."

Observe

   Wow! The author of Hebrews is really down on his audience. Too lazy to pay attention? Why is he even bothering to write to them?

   There are hints of this attitude earlier in the book. Chapter 2 starts with "we must pay closer attention". Chapter 3 urges "look closely at Jesus". Chapter 4: "some of you think you won't enter his place of rest".

   The author wrote this because he saw a need to encourage some believers to get unstuck.

Do

   Ask God today to keep you paying careful attention to Jesus.
