Got a Little Detail Wrong

Read Hebrews 7:4-7

   "6 Although Melchizedek was not from the tribe of Levi, he received a tenth of everything from Abraham. Then Melchizedek blessed Abraham, who had God's promises."

Observe 

   That's not right! Melchizedek blessed Abraham before receiving a tenth of everything. The author of Hebrews swapped the order of events recorded by Moses.

   Here is another contradiction in the Bible. It is another reason one of the early church fathers wanted to keep Hebrews out of the Canon.

   I believe we should keep Hebrews in because of its wonderful description of Jesus.

   I believe God controlled every word in the Bible including the small contradictions, and he put them there to discourage idolatry.
