King Manages Suffering

Read Hebrews 2:5-8

   "8 'You put everything under his control.' When God put everything under his Son's control, nothing was left out. However, at the present time we still don't see everything under his Son's control."

Observe

   Since we don't see it now, does that mean it is a future event? Or do we believe that Jesus is in control right now and the evil we see going on around us is, in fact, not as evil as we think?

   I see two choices: 1) Jesus is not yet King of Kings and Lord of Lords or 2) everything going on around us is, in fact, good - and fits perfectly into his plan for humanity.

   I lean toward the latter.

   We live in a temporary time of suffering. And we only have a limited opportunity to benefit from suffering. I believe King Jesus is precisely measuring suffering into each of our lives in order to maximize the benefits to us without causing us to lose heart.

   Praise God today for putting King Jesus in charge of your suffering.
