Unforced Free Will

Read Philemon 1:12-14

   "14 Yet, I didn't want to do anything without your consent. I wanted you to do this favor for me out of your own free will without feeling forced to do it."

Observe

   Paul could have kept Onesimus for himself. This would have effectively forced Philemon to stop treating Onesimus as a slave. Paul decided it was better to send Onesimus back to be declared free officially by Philemon. 

Do

   Ask Jesus to remind you that he values free will even more than Paul did.
