It is Finished

Read Hebrews 7:26-28

   "28 Moses' Teachings designated mortals as chief priests even though they had weaknesses. But God's promise, which came after Moses' Teachings, designated the Son who forever accomplished everything that God required."

Observe

   When Jesus said, "It is finished," the 'it' referred to everything that God required for God's goal.

   The war is won. 

   All that remain are some battles against the remaining enemy strongholds. The enemy keeps lashing out against us, and the enemy keeps losing ground.

   God's Kingdom has spread to every sovereign nation on earth. It is nearing the goal of every language. Then comes every tribe. 

   The battles continue on multiple fronts. The enemy continues to lose ground on multiple fronts.

   The war is won.
