folks--
The anti-war stamp i mailed you about last week (amateur graphic
artists of the world unite!) is picking up momentum: there's been
brisk sales, press, a new site launch, and now a new grass-roots /
net-roots effort bubbling up to encourage people to mail in our tax
returns with the new stamp.
I encourage you all to do this.
Check out the new site:

And spread this far a wide.
Here's my pitch:

Friends--

If you believe, as I do, that supporting our troops and ending the war
in Iraq are one and the same, then please be a part of this novel and
symbolically powerful action: mail in your tax returns with the new
anti-war postage stamp.
http://www.bringthemhomenow.com

Last week BringThemHomeNow.com, a coalition of veterans groups,
military families and concerned citizens, launched a $.39 cent postage
stamp (approved and licensed by the US postal service!) featuring a
yellow ribbon transposed over a peace sign.

You can buy the stamps (as well as t-shirts & buttons featuring the
same design) at: http://www.bringthemhomenow.com

Using the stamp to send in your tax returns lets the government (and
everyone else) know where you stand -- and at the same time helps
raise money to stop the war.

It is a powerful symbolic way to mourn the 2300 American lives lost as
well as protest the over $300 billion in tax payer money spent on the
disastrous war in Iraq.

And what could be better than mobilizing an army of uniformed federal
agents to help spread the word?

The stamps are excellent for personal correspondence and perfect for
mailing elected officials or loved ones in the armed services.

Please tell friends and family about this great new way to speak out.

In the meantime, go to http://www.bringthemhomenow.com and buy a book
of stamps. Put one on your tax return and let the government know that
supporting the troops and ending the war in Iraq go hand in hand.

Then give a few to friends and family so that they too can be a part
of this exciting new form of self expression.

All proceeds benefit citizen groups working to end the War in Iraq and
bring our troops safely home, including Military Families Speak Out
(http://mfso.org), Gold Star Families for Peace (http://www.gsfp.org),
Iraq Veterans Against the War (http://www.ivaw.net), and Veterans for
Peace (http://www.veteransforpeace.org).

Here's to our troops coming home. Now.

Peace,

Andrew Boyd
