ROLE: BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) REPORTS AND ETL
EXPERIENCE : 8+
LOCATION : CALIFORNIA (REMOTE)
Business Intelligence:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using BOBJ & Power BI.
Work closely with business analysts to gather and understand reporting requirements.
Create and optimize datasets to support Power BI reporting.
Create and maintain universes & datasets to support for Business Requirements.
Business Objects (BOBJ & PowerBI):
Develop and maintain reports and universes within the Business Objects environment.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure BOBJ reports meet business requirements.
Perform troubleshooting and debugging of BOBJ reports as needed.
Ability to develop quick dashboards & visualization from Data
Ability to slice & dice data to derive insights
ETL Development (Matillion):
Design, implement, and optimize ETL processes using Matillion ETL to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure the efficiency and reliability of ETL workflows.
Monitor ETL jobs and troubleshoot issues to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Matillion ETL experience with Snowflake as a Target
Strong SQL with Store procedures
Cloud Data platform Snowflake experience
Performance Optimization:
Optimize report performance in Power BI and BOBJ to ensure efficient data retrieval and presentation.
Fine-tune ETL processes for optimal performance and scalability.
Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation for Power BI and BOBJ reports, as well as ETL processes using Matillion.
Develop user guides and documentation for end-users on report usage and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 Years of Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in developing reports using Power BI and Business Objects (BOBJ).
Hands-on experience with Matillion ETL or similar ETL tools.
Strong SQL skills and data querying tools.
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
