Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer with strong experience in managing both on-premise and AWS-based database environments. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with database administration, automation, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL, Redis, and PostgreSQL databases in on-premise and AWS environments
- Manage and implement Replication & High Availability solutions
- Administer and optimize AWS services such as RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, S3, and EC2
- Automate infrastructure and routine tasks using Ansible and AWS CloudFormation
- Implement monitoring tools like CloudWatch, PMM, Datadog, and MonYog for performance tracking
- Perform regular database maintenance, health checks, and capacity planning
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries and improve performance
- Work closely with DevSecOps teams for security patches and upgrades
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Generate ad-hoc reports and insights for stakeholders
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis
- Experience with AWS database and cloud services
- Good knowledge of Linux Administration
- Proficiency in Shell Scripting or Python
- Experience with monitoring and performance tuning tools
- Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts
