We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Actimize SAM (Suspicious Activity Monitoring) to join our team in New York, NY. This role requires a strong blend of AML domain knowledge, data analysis skills, and hands-on experience with Actimize SAM.

Job Title: Business Analyst – Actimize SAM

Location: New York, NY (Minimum 3 days onsite)

Duration: 6 Months

Job Summary:-

The Business Analyst will act as a key liaison between compliance stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring effective design, validation, and optimization of AML monitoring scenarios within Actimize SAM.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and analyze requirements from compliance and risk stakeholders to understand monitoring needs and suspicious activity typologies
Translate AML typologies into effective Actimize SAM detection scenarios
Perform alert tuning to balance false positives and ensure regulatory compliance
Validate and analyze transaction data feeds for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
Support SIT and UAT testing cycles, ensuring outputs align with compliance expectations
Create and maintain BRDs, Functional Specifications, and audit documentation
Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and structured manner

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong knowledge of AML regulations (FATF, BSA, EU AML directives)
Hands-on experience with Actimize SAM scenario configuration and tuning
Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
Experience in data profiling and validation
Strong documentation skills (BRDs, FSDs, audit-ready artifacts)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in financial services or banking domain
Exposure to regulatory audits and compliance reporting
