Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM Technical Consultant with strong expertise in Person Model, Person of Interest (POI), Hire/Rehire processes, and PeopleSoft Payroll. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with PeopleTools development, COBOL-based batch processing, and PeopleSoft HCM integrations. This role requires strong technical assessment capabilities, design documentation experience, and the ability to support implementation and knowledge transfer activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM
Expertise in:
· Person Model
· Person of Interest (POI)
· Hire/Rehire processes
· Fluid UI
· Strong PeopleTools development experience:
· Application Designer
· Application Engine
· PeopleCode
· Component Interface
· Strong understanding of PeopleSoft Payroll processes
· Experience reviewing, modifying, and maintaining COBOL programs used in PeopleSoft HCM batch processes
Experience supporting:
· Payroll processing
· Benefits processing
· HR data update jobs
· Ability to evaluate existing COBOL jobs for Person Model compatibility
Strong understanding of:
· HR data structures
· Effective dating logic
· Experience integrating Person Model with external systems such as:
· Identity management systems
· Payroll systems
· Benefits platforms
· Onboarding tools
· Ability to assess existing configurations and recommend implementation approaches
· Experience creating technical design and architecture documentation
· Ability to train and mentor technical teams on Person Model usage and maintenance
Responsibilities:
· Analyze and enhance PeopleSoft HCM Person Model configurations
· Support Person of Interest (POI) and Hire/Rehire process implementations
· Review and optimize PeopleSoft Payroll batch processes and COBOL jobs
· Ensure compatibility of legacy processes with Person Model architecture
· Develop and maintain PeopleTools components and customizations
· Collaborate with HR, payroll, and technical teams for integration solutions
· Create technical documentation, implementation plans, and support materials
· Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to internal development/support teams
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with large-scale PeopleSoft HCM implementations or upgrades
· Strong troubleshooting and production support experience
· Experience working in remote enterprise environments
· Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
