Looking for good things to come

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

Psalm 32:8 - NKJV

Reflection:

"One thing leads to another!" people say when they hear someone has done something that gives cause for concern. When we're following the Lord though we can use that phrase positively. As we look to the Lord for His guidance one strategic thing leads to another strategic thing and eventually we reach a desired outcome! Exo.23:20.

The church I pastor recently put on a successful event in our building specifically for the people of the community in the surrounding area. As we rejoiced over how well it was received we realised how far back one thing had led to another to bring the event successfully about. A series of work projects on the building, for example, that the Lord had spoken to our hearts about getting done had raised the profile, accessibility and attractiveness of the building over the months beforehand ready to help make this event something people were enthusiastic about coming to. As God's child, you will find the Lord is with you ready to help you make the right next step towards the right next place in which He knows you can flourish. Isa.48:17.

When the Lord prompts you in your heart to do or to say something then act upon it. You never know how great a thing it may lead to. One thing can lead to another and bring about something special in your life or in the life of someone else who is precious to the Lord. God by His Holy Spirit speaks to the heart of His children to conceive in them good things to come. It's up to us to attend to that still small voice of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and to let what we hear guide us in our actions and speech.
