Project Description
This project supports a Federal Agency’s enterprise integration platform responsible for enabling secure communication and data exchange across multiple applications and systems. The work involves operating, maintaining, and modernizing integration services to ensure reliable interoperability between systems running on different technologies.
The effort includes enterprise integration services, infrastructure modernization, cloud migration support, API management, system monitoring, and vulnerability remediation. The environment includes Enterprise Application Integration Broker (EAIB) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platforms that support critical enterprise operations and modernization initiatives.
Additionally, the project includes transitioning legacy webMethods-based integrations to a cloud-native microservices architecture deployed using containerized environments and automated CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalable enterprise data integration.
Job Description:
IT Specialist SME should be Full Stack Developers with strong expertise in backend development using Spring Boot and Java and Spring framework, combined with frontend proficiency in ReactJS. The developers should have hands-on experience in containerized application development and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes, along with familiarity in messaging systems (AMQ, IBM MQ, Apache Kafka) and data grid technologies for high-performance, distributed applications. SME should also be well versed in DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
The minimum technical skillset requirements for the IT Specialists are listed below.
• Messaging Systems: Red Hat AMQ (ActiveMQ (AMQ), IBM MQ,
Apache Kafka)
• webMethods Suite: Integration Server, Universal Messaging, My webMethods
Server, Optimize for Infrastructure
• Programming Languages: Java, Flow, JavaScript
• Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring-WS
• Frontend: ReactJS
• APIs/Protocols: AMQP, HTTPS, REST, SOAP, JDBC, JMS, TLS
• CI/CD Automation Platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions or other equivalent
IRS-approved tools)
• Containerization & Orchestration tooling (e.g., Docker/OCI, Kubernetes,
Helm, or equivalent tooling)
• Data Grid Technologies: Red Hat Data Grid (Infinispan)
• Database: Oracle Exadata, PostgreSQL, IBM Db2
• DevOps & Containerization Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions,
GitHub CI/CD, Maven Experience with fully automated CI/CD pipelines
• Version Control: Git, GitHub
• Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, Splunk, Fluent

• Architecture: Experience in production-grade, cloud-native microservices
architecture and Kubernetes-based container orchestration
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS and other cloud platforms such as AWS
environments
• Security: Knowledge of API gateways and security standards (OAuth 2.0/OpenID
Connect), TLS cipher suites. Knowledge of secure coding practices, automated
security scanning, dependency vulnerability management, and enforcement of
enterprise DevSecOps controls.
