11:30 am Cantori and Trouvere: Two groups from the Pacific Boy Choir, led by musical director Brandon Adams. Garden Center, Vista Room
12 m Cedar Trio: Beth Conklin, violin, Jo Bauen, flute and Donna Viscuso, flute, play Easly, Classical and Contemporary Chamber Music. Bay Friendly Garden
12m Masayuki Koga: Master shakuhachi (Japanese flute) player and teacher, will perform traditional Japanese music with his students. Bonsai Garden
12 m Waxwing John and Miller: will sing and play the early blues in the styles and on the instruments on which they were created. If we’re lucky, they will delight us with some two-man, four instrument jug band music! Community Garden
1 pm Rebecca Skaggs, harpist: A very accomplished musician who is also a Professor of New Testament and Greek. Mediterranean Garden
1 pm Klezmer Three: A unique take on a special type of Jewish folk music, featuring Joseph Liebling, electronic keyboard; Robin Goodfellow, flute; and Jim Harris, clarinet. Garden Center, Vista Room
2 pm Flexer Studio: A group of fiddlers created and trained by the well known music educator Kaila Flexer, performing music from around the world. Bay Friendly Garden
2 pm Mediterranean Garden dedication: An acknowledgment of the completion of this long anticipated addition to the Gardens at Lake Merritt. Mediterranean Garden
3 pm S.O.N.G.: Destiny, harp , Vince Tolliver, viola, and Tarika Lewis, violin, bring a cool new wave twist to the old classics. Their sound is a fusion of classical music, spirituals, folk and jazz. Garden Center, Vista Room
3 pm The New Queen’s Ha’Penny Consort: Mary Myers and Lisa Schultz, singers and recorder players, performing early music, in costume. Sensory Garden
