* From early this morning until further notice.
* At 5AM Sunday the stage was 5.1 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is 6 feet.
* At 6 feet...Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding will expand
into the natural flood plain of the creek upstream and downstream
from the gage at Atlanta Highway or Georgia Highway 9. Large
portions of the sidewalk and boardwalk of the Big Creek Greenway
will begin to flood. The areas under the Georgia 400 Highway and
McFarland Road will be covered with around one foot of water. A
portion of the sidewalk under Majors Road will be covered with
around two feet of water.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 7 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by this afternoon and continue
to rise to near 8.6 feet by Tuesday morning.The river will fall
below flood stage by Wednesday morning.
* At 9 feet...Minor flooding expands along the creek from near
Cumming to Alpharetta and Roswell. Backyards of homes off Seale
Drive and Gunter Court and portions of the Golf of Georgia begin to
flood. The Big Creek Greenway experiences significant flooding up
to 3 feet deep...which results in closure of most of the paths.
This especially occurs upstream and downstream from the gage on
Kimball Bridge Road and Rock Hill Park. A large portion of the YMCA
Campground off Preston Ridge Road will be under a foot of water.

IS 10 FEET. THE STAGE HEIGHT ON LINE CREEK JUST DOWNSTREAM OF THE

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a
* Flood Warning for
The Ocmulgee River near Macon.
* From Friday evening until Monday evening.
* At 845 PM Wednesday the stage was 7.3 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 18 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Friday before midnight and
continue to rise to near 20.3 feet by Sunday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by Monday afternoon.
* At 20 feet...Minor flooding expands. An increasing amount of the
Macon GreenWay Ocmulgee Heritage Trail floods north of the Martin
Luther King Boulevard bridge. The flood waters will be around onefoot deep on portions of the trail and both banks overflow upstream
from the bridge. Large portions of agricultural lands well
downstream will be under one to three feet of water.

Counties

Oconee River near Penfield affecting Clarke...Greene and Oconee
Counties

.Recent heavy rainfall has caused significant runoff into streams and
rivers which will cause flooding in some areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property.

The latest stage data was furnished in cooperation with the United
States Geological Survey.

* At 845 PM Wednesday the stage was 4.6 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Thursday morning and continue
to rise to near 18.6 feet by Thursday afternoon. The river
will fall below flood stage by Thursday evening.
* At 18 feet...Minor flooding continues in the woodlands...fields
and pasture upstream and downstream from the gage at Georgia
Highway 82. A few dirt access roads and a residential yard just
downstream will be flooded with up to two feet of water.

* From late Thursday night until late Saturday night.
* At 900 PM Wednesday the stage was 5.9 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by early Friday morning and
continue to rise to near 16.4 feet by early Saturday morning.The
river will fall below flood stage by Saturday evening.
* At 17 feet...Minor flooding continues to expand into fields...
woodlands and pastures near the river. The water level is very
close to Ward Road on the right bank. Flood waters will be
approaching irrigation systems and they may need to be moved to
higher ground.

The Suwanee Creek near Suwanee.
* From this morning until this afternoon.
* At 1045 AM Thursday the stage was 8.1 feet...and rising slowly.
* Minor flooding will continue through early afternoon.
* Flood stage is 8 feet.
* The creek should crest near 8.2 feet around noon. The creek will
fall below flood stage in the afternoon.
* At 8 feet...Flood Stage is reached. Minor flooding begins along
the creek upstream and downstream from the gage at U S Highway 23
or Buford Highway. Portions of the Suwanee Creek Park off of
Suwanee Creek Trail begin to flood to Martin Farm Road. This will
also include areas behind the Suwanee Elementary School and the
George Pierce Park.
