Warning for the following rivers in Georgia...

Flint River near Lovejoy affecting Clayton...Fayette and Spalding
Counties
Yellow River near East Lithonia affecting DeKalb and Rockdale
Counties
Yellow River near Conyers below Milstead affecting Newton and
Rockdale Counties
Middle Oconee River near Arcade affecting Barrow and Jackson
Counties
Oconee River near Penfield affecting Clarke...Greene and Oconee
Counties
.Recent heavy rainfall has caused significant runoff into streams and
rivers which will cause flooding in some areas.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property.

* Flood Warning for
The Suwanee Creek near Suwanee.
* From this afternoon until Tuesday afternoon.
* At 815 AM Monday the stage was 5.1 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 8 feet.
* The creek is forecast to rise above flood stage this afternoon and
continue rising...reaching near 8.9 feet by this evening. The creek
will fall below flood stage Tuesday morning.
* At 9 feet...Minor flooding expands along the creek upstream and
downstream from the gage at U S Highway 23 or Buford Highway. Most
of the Suwanee Creek Greenway and trails are flooded from the
Suwanee Creek Park to George Pierce Park. The minor flooding will
also begin to affect portions of the playground area behind the
Suwanee Elementary School.

* At 845 AM Monday the stage was 5.4 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* the river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Tuesday
morning and continue rising...reaching near 13.3 feet by Tuesday
evening.The river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday morning.
* At 12 feet...Flood Stage is reached and minor flooding begins.
Flooding of Rivers Edge Golf Course begins and several holes and
fairways will flood. Flooding of some yards begins upstream of gage
between Upper Riverdale Road and Highway 138.

* At 845 AM Monday the stage was 6.1 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage this afternoon and
continue rising...reaching near 16 feet by early Tuesday morning.The
river will fall below flood stage late Tuesday morning.
* At 15 feet...Minor flooding expands further into the woodlands and
fields near the river upstream and downstream from the gage on
Pleasant Hill Road. In Dekalb County...some flooding of backyards of
homes begins on Harmony Hills Drive and Harmony Hills Court. Johnson
Creek flowing under Union Grove Road into the river begins to back up.

The Yellow River near Conyers below Milstead.
* From this evening until late Tuesday night.
* At 830 AM Monday the stage was 4.9 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by tonight and
continue rising...reaching near 13.8 feet by Tuesday morning.The
river will fall below flood stage by Tuesday evening.
* At 13 feet...Minor flooding expands into the woodlands...fields and
pasture along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on
Gees Mill Road in Rockdale County. Most of Sockwell Road by the
river in Newton County will be flooded with up to 4 feet of water.
Minor flooding also occurs in Newton County in the Riverside Estates
Travel and Trailer Park. Any trailers near the river may need to be
moved to higher ground. A playground by the river will begin to
flood.

Tuesday morning.The river will fall below flood stage by late
Tuesday morning.
* At 20.0 feet...Minor flooding expands further into the
woodlands...fields and pastures upstream and downstream from the
gage at Georgia Highway 82. A few dirt access roads and a
residential yard just downstream will be flooded with up to 4 feet
of water.

* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by late Tuesday
morning and continue rising...reaching near 17 feet by early
Wednesday afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage by late
Thursday morning.
* At 17 feet...Minor flooding expands into fields...woodlands and
pastures near the river. The water level is very close to Ward Road
on the right bank. Flood waters will be approaching irrigation systems
and they may need to be moved to higher ground.
