Earlier there was a yellow exclamation mark here and when I went to properties it said"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (code 43)" but when I try to open the Nvidia control panel, it won't open, I tried loads of fixes I can find on YouTube but all of them don't seem to work/I tried re-downloading the GeForce drivers/

Hey all, I'm switching over to Nvida soon and I was doing some research and found out that you can't tweak graphics settings in Gefore experience. Can use both control panel and GeForce experience or will that mess things up?

I was playing Dying Light on Geforce Now and I could see there was a great input lag on the game, both for mouse and keyboard, one I had never noticed before on any game and never did again with many others. Digging into it I was able to find out this was a very common issue with the PC port of this game, and happened to a lot of players. People were able to find a solution for this but involved modifying the maximum pre-rendered frames to 1 inside Nvidia control panel. Is there a way to access this Settings inside Geforce Now?

Right click on the desktop>Nvidia control panel>Manage 3D settings>Global settings>Open GL rendering GPU>select the 2060>under Power management mode > prefer maximum performance. apply settings.
Under program settings Select Trimbal SU Open GL rendering GPU select the 2060, apply settings.

No, if you read my comment, I said the GeForce experience is not needed. I'm talking about the Nvidia Control Panel you access through your PC's control panel. It controls the 3D settings on your PC, but it's not something that's constantly running in the background, it just tells your GPU what settings to use. You sometimes need to change your global settings, to enable your GPU to be used in programs such as Minecraft, since by default, it will use your CPU integrated graphics over your GPU.

I have an Nvidia GTX 1050 graphics card in quite a high powered laptop (Windows 10), running Zwift in Ultra mode (1440) and getting 60fps. I have the Nvidia control panel configured to ensure that the zwiftapp.exe uses the Nvidia card rather than the built in Intel card on the chipset.

It looks like it just creates a DX11 device context on whatever the first render device Windows gives it. When I switched Nvidia control panel to use Intel graphics as the preferred, it came first and Workstation simply created DX11 device context and sure enough the VM wasn't using the Nvidia GPU.

Hi, I have VMWare Player 14 and I set it to use the nvidia graphic card from the control panel like you said. however it seem that this have no effect (it have effect on other apps but not on vmware) and when I open the NVidia GPU activity, it will be empty. any idea ?

The Home screen hosts a wide range of solutions to tune up graphics card efficiency and performance. The most thorough of these is the OC Scanner, which completely automates the overclocking process for Nvidia graphics cards. For users who want a plug-and-play experience, preset profiles line the top of the Home screen for an instantaneous boost in frequency or reduction in noise. Additional adjustments can be made by using the comprehensive panel of sliders to control power settings, clocks, and fans.

I have simillar problem, Gigabyte RTX 4070 Gaming OC, im able to do PC mode in nvidia control panel 2560x1440 @120Hz with hdr vrr working just fine, but im not able to go from 8bit color depth to 10bit (TV QE55QN95A) 10bit should be supported by this TV and was working just fine with my previous graphics card RTX 2070 Super, any sugestions how to solve this ?

I have set all the settings in the NVIDIA control panel for global settings as well as specific application settings for ue4editor.exe, ue4editor-cmd.exe, ue4game.exe. You can see so on these screenshots I made:

In the Nvidia control panel, you should only have 3D and video options. The "display" options for which the scaling is located in the Nvidia control panel is not needed since the Intel driver handles that part at this point.

Try downloading GeForce Experience from the Nvidia website and get the latest drivers and updates, then reboot and check again to see if you can make changes to the Nvidia control panel like you want.
