Dear  friends

Most of you do not know this person named Vishwa Prasad. He is a hard working, very calm and composed person. He and me took the admission in the same year i.e in 2004.He got registered for PhD and me in M Phil in the same department which is 200 percent brahminical in nature. After six years of literal torment  exposing him to various institutionalised   tortures like coursework, additional course work(harassment), subjecting him to humiliations now and then, and  finally when he has reached the  verge of submission  he was forced  to terminate from the programme on flimsy rather silly grounds. It is just because he backgrounds a dalit community and he is the first scholar who could reach to that height in the ELE department. Moreover it is the heinous brahminical attitude which could not see a dalit's progress in the field of ELE manipulated certain institutional gaps to his termination. It is the utter  failure of the university because they could not provide a suitable guide after Dr.Julu Sen has left for Sri lanka on deputation last year.

It is nothing but just a premium example of how casteism works in the academic spheres.

We should condemn this move by the institution very seriously  and do something which would help him to submit his thesis.

R/ Sir,

This is really very tender and delicate matter which should be  handled politely and gently. Since it is the question of the educational career of Mr. Vishwa Prasad, therefore it is mendatory to organise a general meeting of DABMSA authorities and members at the earliest in order to sort out and minutely comprehend the issue. After the analysis of the problem we can prepare an action plan to free this scholar from these communal worries, tensions and tortures. However as per my prediction, Mr Vishwa Prasad in fact became a rudderless boat when his guide left to Sri Lanka on deputation. This boat swam independently in the Indian ocean with the natural flow of the wind  but now due to heavy rainfall there's danger of t- sunami waves which had snatched the lovely sleep of this scholar. Is he a member of DABMSA? If the answer is negative then first admission of the scholar is very imperative in order  to assist to land this scholar's boat near or at the Vishakhapatnam harbour. Afterwards, there are countless vehicles, ways, roads and directors  to guide the scholar to hit his destination. Ultimately,I request the higher authorities of DABMSA to take immediate action to solve this problem since the weather is not favourable, atmospheric temprature is going down and down and clouds are always in the sky and we all ourselves passing our time without woolen clothes.

With kind regards.
Yours Sincerely,
Vinod Kumar (PRO)

Dear friends

First please  go through the attachment meticulously.

I do not know whether to feel happy about reading the comment passed by a faculty member which says mature....sensible handling.....healthy democratic debates and so on.

(  "i feel happy that DABMSA has been successful in maintaining the peaceful atmosphere in the campus, even after the brutal attack on its secretary. I wholeheartedly congratulate them for their mature and sensible handling of the situation at ...a time hooligans unleashed violence in the campus. This should stand as a model for everyone and encourage students in the campus to engage in healthy and democratic academic and political debates rather than resorting to violence. Such violent activities should be discouraged and opposed at any cost by the campus community".)

Or is there a need to introspect ourselves???  Did we really show our maturity or ourselves given away to fear as a prospective victim??? We should be honest in our thinking..  It is bkoz there are people talking that there will not be DABMSA anymore as it could not secure its General Secretary. And we could not protest this issue publicly so far even through any write-ups or posters. So how should we take it? Do not simply say that we could not get a chance to  meet and listen to  Ravi chandran and other party to come to a conclusion..it is an outright attack that has been conspired by them for a long time..finally,took the wrong move as an advantage to brutally beat him up. The whole issue is just because of jealousy in which they could not see the growing strength of the DABMSA and their own  helplessness to organise any activity.

There is genuine reason because  Ravi chandran hasn't done any thing without the knowledge of EC members..he hasn't fought  for his selfish ends but for the DABMSA and its philosphy. Better late than ever.So think of something constructive which should send a strong message that we are united and the whole university is with us. I) Write a poster condemning the violence and at the same time encouraging the students to get engaged in a healthy and democratic debates. 2) we can demand the university to rusticate those perpetrated violence.3) we can also demand for a public apology? and so on .

Think of this ...it is of a grave concern...if we let it go off...we are losing the battle for injustice and that fear always haunts us and culprits in high spirits.

Thank you
