It feels like you either get boring, generic games that are no fun or super awkward games you have to hide under your bed in an old shoebox, just in case your mom comes over and sees it.At Crated with Love, we are here to change that. We create fun, engaging games that focus on laughter and connection without all that other weird baggage. Enter our newest game for couples: SPIN!

Gameplay is super simple and much like a normal game of Spin the Bottle.

First, take out all the cards in your deck, shuffles them, and create a large circle with a space in the middle to spin the bottle.

Takes turns with your partner spinning and drawing the card the bottle points at when stopped. There are four different types of challenge cards (see below), and depending on which one you draw, you must do that challenge before ending your turn.

SPIN! is the silly and slightly intimate card game for couples. The game includes 150 relationship challenges, conversation starters, and a glass bottle for spinning.

The rules are simple: spin the bottle and complete the challenge. As you complete challenges, you'll earn points. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!

This spin-the-bottle game makes the perfect gift for your significant other or a couple you love!

Lets say I am spinning a bottle while sitting in a group of 10 people. I want to know the minimum number of times I would need to spin the bottle to have a 50% chance of hitting everyone in the circle at least once. How would I go about determining this minimum number of spins? Would the method to calculate this change with a very small (say 1%) or large (say 99%) chance, or with a much larger number of people (say 1000)?

I have attempted to look up some formulas but I am really not sure how to model this problem mathematically/in terms of probabilities. I know that it is impossible to determine if the percentage is set to 100% (no guarantee you'll ever hit each unique person). Hopefully this same math question hasn't been duplicated elsewhere with a different framing, the closest I could find was here.

EDIT: A little more searching and apparently this is a well defined problem... It seems searching for it in terms of dice rolls yielded much better results and based on my understanding should be equally applicable (replacing hitting a person with the bottle with getting a certain number on the die).

In this answer, it is shown that the probability of not hitting everyone by the $m^\textth$ spin would be$$1-p=\sum_k=1^n(-1)^k-1\binomnk\left(1-\frac kn\right)^m\tag1$$Thus, the probability of hitting everyone by the $m^\textth$ spin would be$$p=\sum_k=0^n(-1)^k\binomnk\left(1-\frac kn\right)^m\tag2$$According to the answer cited above, the expected duration is $nH_n\sim n\log(n)+\gamma n$. If we set $m=n\log(n)+nx$, then$$\beginalignp&=\sum_k=0^n(-1)^k\binomnk\left(1-\frac kn\right)^n\log(n)+nx\\&\approx\sum_k=0^n(-1)^k\binomnk\frac1n^ke^-kx\\&\approx\sum_k=0^n(-1)^k\frac1k!e^-kx\\[9pt]&=e^-e^-x\tag3\endalign$$Therefore, we get the approximation$$m=n\log(n)-n\log\left(\log\left(\frac1p\right)\right)\tag4$$

But I wanted to test the games out a bit before a full-scale Bumpie-a-thon. I needed to know what to expect, to be a confident bottle-spinning Master of Ceremonies. So I asked my wife to enact an old dream deferred and play together, in an evening of What Might Have Been had we grown up in the same town and hung out in the same dimly lit basement while the parents slept.

All players sit in a circle with an empty bottle in the center (a glass bottle spins better than a plastic one). One player starts by giving the bottle a spin. When the bottle stops spinning, the player at whom the mouth of the bottle is facing must perform a challenge at the direction of the person who spun the bottle.

Season 39 of The Challenge, subtitled Battle for a New Champion, is set to premiere on MTV on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. ET. Before the competition gets underway, MTV is airing a cast preview special on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET so that fans can get acquainted with the crop of competitors who are all vying for their first win. Based on how things are going for the contenders' first night, fans might be in for a steamy season.

Considering that many of the competitors are meeting for the very first time, what better way to get to know everyone than a good old-fashioned game of spin the bottle? The Challenge: Spies, Lies, and Allies alum Corey Lay explains, before sharing a fun smooch with Callum Izzard, why the cheeky game is perfect for night one, saying, "We're just drinking, we're partying, we're having fun. We're playing spin the bottle which is great for me because there's a lot of guys here that I want to kiss and I feel like this might be the only chance I get." He then questions, "What kind of season is this gonna be?" If their first night is any indication, there could be some more fun (and romance?) on the horizon.

While most of the cast is getting into the kissing action, others, like Chauncey Palmer, are focused on the game ahead. Since Palmer recently welcomed his first child with The Challenge champion Amber Borzotra, there will be absolutely no showmancing for him. He says, "I'm perfectly fine with people having fun. I came into this game understanding that I don't do those things. I'll sit back and watch. I want them to be distracted so I can focus and just be the parent I am."

Fans will have to tune in to The Challenge: Battle for a New Champion's launch special on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET to find out how the rest of the cast's first night turns out. But, since this is The Challenge, surely it won't be too long before the partying stops and the action really gets underway. Competitors from the past few seasons are all attempting to earn their first championship this time around. However, they may have to face off against some of the franchise's toughest champs along the way. Who will become the sole winner of Season 39? The battle gets underway on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.

Game Instructions: Write several challenges/tasks on strips of paper. Put them in a bowl. The kids take turns spinning the bottle. When the bottle stops spinning, whomever the bottle is pointing to must choose a strip of paper and follow the instructions.

Although it may seem like a simple activity, the spin-out dog treat game encourages physical movement. As pets spin the bottles to release treats, they are moving around, changing positions, and staying active. This type of game can be particularly beneficial for pets who need gentle encouragement to move more, helping to maintain a healthy weight and improve overall physical health.

Using interactive toys like the spin-out dog treat game can enhance the bond between you and your pet. When you set up the game, encourage your pet, and celebrate their successes, you are participating in positive interactions that strengthen your relationship. This shared activity helps build trust and understanding between you and your pet.

To keep the spin-out dog treat game challenging and engaging, consider creating adjustable difficulty levels. You can vary the size of the treat dispensing holes to make the game easier or harder. Smaller holes will require more effort to get the treats out, which is great for more experienced pets or those in need of a tougher challenge.

Changing the configuration of the bottles can renew interest in the spin-out dog treat game. Instead of aligning the bottles in a straight line, try arranging them at different heights or angles. This variation requires your pet to use different strategies and physical maneuvers to reach their rewards, providing a fresh challenge each time.

If you have more than one pet, you might consider modifying the spin-out dog treat game to accommodate multiple players. Adding more bottles or creating a larger, more complex setup with several rods and bases encourages pets to take turns or play together, fostering social interaction.

Switch up the treats used in the game to maintain high interest levels. Incorporate a mix of scents and flavors by using different types of treats, like kibble, dried fruits, or homemade treats. This variation can keep your pet guessing and excited about what they might uncover next.

Create additional challenges by adding obstacles around or on the spin-out dog treat game. For instance, small barriers or soft bumpers around the bottles can increase the difficulty, requiring more precise manipulation to access the treats. This can be especially engaging for more intelligent or older pets who need mental stimulation.

Integrate light-up features into the game for pets attracted to visual stimuli or for play in dim conditions. LED lights can be attached to the bottles or the base, lighting up when the bottle spins or when touched. This can be particularly appealing during evening play sessions.

Incorporating scents into the game can dramatically increase its attractiveness. Scented markers or safe essential oils can be used on the bottles or the base. Choose scents that are appealing and safe for pets, such as lavender for calming or chamomile, which can soothe anxious pets.
