Hi Mark,

I'm just learning dsiprouter, currently the installation is successful.

There are several things I want to try with the following infra diagram:

Softphone (ext 101) -> asterisk --> (sip trunk ip2ip) -> dsip router -> (sip trunk ip2ip) ---> softswitch (SBC) -> telco -> customer (77447888)

What should I configure in the dsip router so from softphone  can call the customer?

The format number sent from asterisk to dsip router is
prefix+dst number ( example : 900177447888)

The number format accepted by vos is: 600177447888

Not sure who Mark is. But answering anyway...

Why not manipulate in Asterisk the prefix before sending the call to dSIP Router?

This is just an example case, I want to differentiate incoming prefix and outgoing prefix in dsiprouter.

currently I use VOS as a softswitch, usually I distinguish the prefix in the mapping gateway and routing gateway. Well I want to implement the same in dsiprouter, is it possible or not.

I have never done prefix manipulation in dSIP Router. If you look at the incoming config, there is an option to strip/add from/to the RURI.

With that being said, you can use in the Outbound Routes custom Kamailio Routes, which I also have never played with, but within Kamilio you can sure manipulate every header. So I guess that you will have to do it that way.

Unless, I have missed something...

Thanks

OK, thanks for your response.

Next, what should I do on the dsiprouter according to the diagram above.

What menu should I set, whether carrier, inbound, outbound route. Can you help so that my testing can continue.
