Hello, Ballers!
As we progress into the school year, I hope all is going well! We will get used to virtual learning eventually. Anywho, this week's update will be a short one so it won't take up too much of your time, and you can get back to work!

    • CNH 2020 Video Contest | What is Key Club to You?
    • CNH Recognition Webinar
  • Division Updates
    • September DCM: RTC 2020
    • September DWS: Creating a Safety Booklet
    • Division Goals 2020-2021 (PROGRESS)
  • Upcoming Events

Do YOU want to spread your love for Key Club to others? Are YOU interested in winning cool prizes and being recognized on our social media? Create a video simply adhering to the prompt "What is Key Club to You?" and have a chance to win two special prizes: a $10 gift card and the opportunity to dare any of the three executives! The contest ends Sunday, September 20th @ 11:59 PM, and your videos should be publicly posted to your Instagram accounts using the hashtag #JoinOurHive2020 and tagging @cnh_keyCub in the caption
More information can be found on the official CNH Key Club Instagram account here, where gift card locations, a table of dares for the executives, and contest guidelines can be found!
    • CNH Recognition Webinar

Interested in learning more about recognition? The CNH MR Committee will be hosting a Member Recognition webinar open to all members, officers, and Lt. Governors on September 13th from 4 to 5:30 PM PST. The webinar will go over MRP, E-portfolios, forms, distinguished, and more! It is highly recommended to attend if you are applying to any type of contest or even considering it. This webinar will also count as a District Event for MRP! If interested, please make sure to sign up here.

  • Division Updates
    • September DCM: RTC 2020
Please disregard what I said in my last email about the time for our September DCM! The date is correct, it will be occurring on the 20th, but not exactly at 12:50 PM. Note the time change! Our DCM will be held at 12:00 PM, so be sure to invite members if they are interested! This is pretty much the first DCM of the school year. (Please make sure you are encouraging as many people to attend RTC in the first place, so they will be attending the DCM regardless). TLDR; the rescheduled time for the September DCM is listed below:
  • Sunday, September 20th @ 12:50 PM
    • September DWS: Creating a Safety Booklet
This month, the CNH Spotlight on service focuses on Pediatric Trauma Program. The mission of the Pediatric Trauma Program is to develop local projects that will reduce the number of children killed or injured by trauma, helping all children live happy, healthy, and safe lives. To incorporate this into our Division-wide service event, we will be making Safety booklets for children over a Zoom meeting, so be prepared with some paper and colored pencils! Once COVID has passed, we will donate them to local elementary students, so make the booklets as creative and colorful as possible! The following logistics are below:
  • WHEN: September 25th, from 3-5 PM
  • WHERE: Zoom | Link will be sent to the email you sign up with, sign up here!
    • Division Goals 2020-2021 (PROGRESS)
It's been a little over a month since my last update on the status of our division goals, so here are the most recent statistics:

  • 1,164.06/4,200 Service Hours

  • $255.01/$3,500 for PTP

  • $503.10/$1,000 for MNT

    • $50 for Jumpstart

    • $30 for The Loveland Foundation

  • Charter at least (1) club

    • Currently in the midst of chartering two!

I am so proud of you guys, we broke 1,000 hours! I have the utmost confidence that we will be able to reach our Service Hours goal, and even exceed it! We're a little under halfway through the term, so we still have time to reach our division goals or come close to them. Keep doing Division 8 proud, guys!

Question of the Day: In order to get to work every day, would you rather swim across a river or climb a steep mountain?

  • Upcoming Events
    • Region Training Conference 2020 | Registration now open!
Your President and Vice Presidents should have received an email from me detailing how to officially register for RTC 2020 this year! If you have not heard anything about this, please make sure to let me/them know. Registration closes on September 9th, 11:59 PM, so please do not put this off! In addition, you'll need to find advisors to meet the 1:10 ratio (1 advisor per 10 attendees, nongender specific), so start contacting them now. I've made it easier for the collection of information on attendees by creating individual club RTC registration forms. All club boards should have access to their respective forms and should release it out to the rest of their club for interested members.
      • RTC 2020 Talent Performer Sign-Ups

Attending RTC and interested in an overlay? Email d34s.cn...@gmail.com with your name, division, position, and picture! Pictured above is DTE Jacob as an example of what it looks like!

So, this email update turned out longer than expected. Regardless, the most important takeaway is to make sure to register for RTC! Remember, it's a free Training Event that counts for the Recognition Program! A quick reminder that the most recent contest coming up is the Division/Club Website Contest, which is due September 15th @ 6:00 PM, so make sure to register if you haven't already! Shameless plug but we are entering our division website into the contest, so check out the amazing work that DTE Jacob has done, here! And that marks the end of my email, until next time, guys!
