Get excited! This month's DCM will teach attendees how to make Boba Guys' famous Strawberry Matcha Latte from the comfort of your home! Below are the logistics for the event:
We will be referencing an article from the San Francisco Chronicle that outlines a recipe from the Boba Guys' cookbook. You can find it HERE. Below is a summarization of the ingredients needed. If you would like to follow along, be sure to get the following ingredients in advance: - Matcha powder
- Tapioca pearls
- Raw cane sugar (preferably turbinado)
- Brown & white sugar
- Strawberries
- Milk (preferably whole, but 2% worked for me!)
In addition, some mixing, boiling, and the use of a blender is required! Please check if you have the kitchen appliances in order to participate (mostly just a blender).
- July DWS: Cards for Military Troops
Our July DWS is here! Organized by our Service Projects Coordinator, Sophia Li! To thank the military for all their hard work in protecting our country, create thank you cards showing how much you appreciate their dedication and service for the United States. Cards and letters from back home are some of the most important gifts to send to troops. It’ll put a smile on the soldiers’ faces and show them how much they are appreciated.
There is no limit to how many cards can be made!
You can mail your cards here:
Support our Troops

(This graphic is slightly cursed but we don't talk about that). For those of you who have never heard of Region 9 Olympics, it is an annual event planned by the Lieutenant Governors of Region 9 to promote bonding and fun amongst our members! Usually, it takes place at the Alameda Crab Cove in Alameda, CA, but due to the outbreak, it cannot happen in person.
To compensate, we decided to hold Region 9 E-Olympics! Below are the basic details of the event:
- WHERE: Zoom | Be sure to sign up HERE if you are interested in attending! Registration closes at July 25th @ 6:00 PM
- WHEN: August 1st, 2020 from 1 to 5 PM
- WHAT: The opportunity to meet/bond amongst the members of Region 9 by planning online games!
At this event, we will also be fundraising for PTP! Members will have the opportunity to donate in exchange to see the Lieutenant Governors perform embarrassing dares. More information soon! I hope to see you there! Make sure to sign up! 。◕‿◕。
I think that was one of the longest emails I have written so far! July is going to be an extremely busy month as Division 8 prepares the spirit pack for this term, planning for RTC progresses, and a fun region event planned for August 1st (Region 9 Olympics) is in the midst. Thank you to everyone that tuned in this week! (▰˘◡˘▰)
