There is less than one week until DCON 2021, which also means the deadline for registering is two days away! Please make sure to go on the CyberKey and register on the official page to confirm your spot. In addition, I will be sending out an email with a list of clubs that have yet to register, later today, so please be on the lookout for that!
As always, if you have any questions regarding how to register or the event itself, please do not hesitate to reach out, since this stuff can be tricky to navigate!
      • DCON Spirit Week

CNH will be hosting our very first DCON spirit week from April 5th to April 10th. Each day is a new theme and a new opportunity to show off your excitement for DCON. To participate, you must post a picture on your Instagram sorry and use the hashtag #CNHDCON2021, and tag @cnh_dcon. This will increase the Shoot for the Stars Meter! By the end of the week, the executives and leadership team will be performing the dares that are reached.
Make sure you are regularly checking in on the official DCON Instagram (@cnh_dcon) for important updates regarding the event as well as exciting reveals!
    • IHOP National Pancake Day
This year instead of having a set day for IHOP National Pancake Day, they are celebrating in the entire month of April. If you have member rewards with IHOP, then you will automatically receive a coupon for a free stack of pancakes. If you are not a member of IHOP, you can make a minimum purchase of $10 to receive your free stack of pancakes. You can order online or go in person. Please follow your local health guidelines and wear a mask!

  • Division Updates
    • Division Goals 2020-2021: Progress

This is our last update regarding our status toward completing our Division goals (in the form of an email update). The definite total should be announced at April's banquet! (See below for more information).
  • 5,609.51(?)/5,500 Service Hours [101.99%]
    • The question mark signifies that the service hours are not exact (most likely to be more) due to secretaries not submitting the MRF, but regardless, we have surpassed it. (Please submit your MRFs if you haven't already so we can get you accounted for!)
  • $2,141.77(?)/$2,000 for PTP [107.09%]
    • The question mark signifies that the PTP funds are not exact (most likely to be more), but regardless, we have surpassed it!
  • $603.10/$750 for MNT [80.41%]
  • Charter at least (1) club [100%]
    • As of November 9th, Jesse Bethel has been chartered and joined Division 8!
We've come a long way with our Division goals. Looking at where we are now, having surpassed and met three out of our four division goals, causes me to reflect on the beginning of the term. It was June, and we had only $76 fundraised for PTP. It troubled me how we could ever fundraise close to our initial goal of $3,500 for PTP. Now, look at us! Having fundraiser $2,000+ for PTP from a single club and from the Division alone :D
Also, we surpassed our service hour goal by over 1,400 hours, that's insane!
Lastly, we raised over $600 for MNT. Fundraising for MNT was never in the initial goals for our Division, it sorta got tacked on along the way. Seeing as how we were able to fundraise for MNT while still accomplishing our other goals is a big feat in and of itself!

For our April DWS, we will create digital notes for one of our preferred charities, March of Dimes! This is the first service event for the 2021-2022 term, as well as the first service event that Miah has planned for the Division. I highly encourage you to attend! These notes of hope can be sent to a mom or dad to be or to a family with a baby currently in the NICU, as well as healthcare providers, nurses, and staff who are on the frontlines making sure that moms and babies are receiving the best possible care.

  • WHEN: Saturday, April 24th from 3 - 4 PM

Before I get on with the outro, Miah Chao, your Lieutenant Governor for the next term has asked me to attach her Letter of Introduction below! Please see the attached PDF below for a brief introduction of herself and her goals for the term!
And that marks an end to the very last email update for the 2020-2021 term. Of all the 32 bi-weekly email updates I've had to write throughout the term, this definitely left a bit of bittersweetness to it. Thank you to all of the members, officers, advisors, etc. that accompanied me this past term and along this crazy journey. It has truly been an honor serving as your Lieutenant Governor for the 2020-2021 term. Goodbye, for now, and best of luck!
