Not being able to work with Bubble charts.

Hey there!
Sorry if this has been asked before and I haven't read it:
I haven't been able to get bubble charts working, the closest I have is the Plot (https://d3plus.org/docs/#Plot) and the example is at https://d3plus.org/examples/d3plus-plot/bubble-plot/.
But the example and the documentation refer mostly to an X/Y bubble chart, and what I need is a basic bubble chart like this one: https://d3plus.org/examples/basic/b197f489fb0fc2093fee/
