Display the drill down of rings chart.(Replace back button with breadcrumbs)

Hi I`m trying to show the history of the clicked nodes like a bootstrap breadcrumb instead of just the back button in d3plus rings chart.

Ex : If my rings chart is 3 levels deeper the breadcrumbs should show the higher two levels when the user is in third level and shouldn`t show anything when the user in first level.It would be helpful if these breadcrumbs can take the user back to that level when clicked.

To sum up i want to show the parent nodes of a focus node of rings chart in the form of a clickable breadcrumb.

Any update or hack would be very much appreciated.
