Hi,

I have created my visualization similar to the http://mbostock.github.com/d3/talk/20111018/tree.html. I wish end users  to be able to search for node/data/label from the tree. Since I am not good with javascript I am finding quite hard to create such search functionality.

Here are my requirements: End users can type text like 'cluster' (flare->analytics-->cluster) and type enter. The visualization highlights cluster and shows to the end users.

If it is possible could you share the code using jsfiddle?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Regards
Sharad

Hi,
I would like to have the same functionality for the D3 tree visualizations and I was wondering if you were able to figure it out. If yes, do you mind sharing the code/tips? Thanks.

Does anyone have a solution for this? I'm trying to implement the same thing. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Thanks,
Smita

I haven't seen a solution but I'd be interested in it, too.

I would imagine that the data in the tree would have to some how be indexed such that the search would map a string to an indexed string, and the indexed string would map to a node in the tree.

My Best,

Frank

I'm also interested in this. It would add a lot to the chart.

I do understand how to use d3 to change the style of a node with mouse events, but I still haven't been able to change the style of a particular node returned by my search function. I'd highly appreciate help.

Thanks

Hi, I'm also interested in a search functionality for this graph style. Anyone have a working solution yet?
