Need Help on groping nodes in a tree diagram dynamically

I have created a d3.js tree visualization. The code works fine but I also want to create a rectangular path that increases dynamically to group the rectangular nodes in each step or level. Find attached the code below in fiddle 

On fiddle , kindly add the d3.js to the resources url tab. The expected result is shown below.
