Hi All
I will quickly ask again, is it possible for the very useful fisheye
effect ( http://bl.ocks.org/2514276 ) to work with markers and paths,
rather than lines?
My novice attempts have failed, so I would appreciate a nudge in the
right direction if its possible.

you would need to recompute the points that make up your paths/markers. if you are using d3.svg.line you would recalculate the path string from your data using the fisheye function.
