file size limits for gist files?

are there file size limits for files on gist? i have a topojson file that's 1.4MB when i load it. Then gist then tells me later that the file is 898kb...

If there is, just throw it up on S3.

Are you using the web interface or the git interface? You might have
better luck with the latter. But storing on S3 would also work if you
have the Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * header set to allow
cross-domain requests.

yeah, all web interface here at work, due to firewall. will set it up from home. thanks for header tip. short term remedy i used was reverting back to cartodb geojson...
