I haven't completely solidified what I want my game play to be like, but I have some ideas. I'm pretty sure the game is going to be something along the lines of the player controlling a transvestite who defends himself against the "Homophobe Legion" in the Emperor's Colosseum. A survive against the horde type of game, except I will have a win condition. More details about that to come.

I did get some basic art assets done, and I've got my intro story mostly complete. My plans for Day 2 include creating the main character's model, creating the model for member's of the Homophobe Legion, and getting the basic gameplay up and running.

Day 2:

Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to work on my game today, and
the time I did have I spent fighting with Blender and Unity. Unity
appears to have a bug that is causing my hero character to always be
at (0,0,0) even if in the scene editor she is at a different position.
I'm not sure how to workaround this bug yet, but hopefully I'll find a
solution soon.

I did get a model made for my hero character, but I don't really like
it. I think I might redo her if I have time towards the end of the
competition, but for now she is what she is. I'm hoping to get her
animated and textured tomorrow, and maybe get some basic gameplay
implemented. About the only thing I'm happy about from today is that I
have a plan for the game, and I think it will be fun.

Day 3:

I had about 2 hours to work on my game tonight, and I felt pretty productive. For starters, I remade my main character, and she is fully rigged and I've completed some animations. I also got my main character into the game, but all she can do is run around right now.

Here she is in all her untextured glory!

Day 4:

Today was pretty productive. First of all my main character is textured and she is smokin' hot.

I also created an enemy for the game that charges at the player with his spear. I just started hooking up some game logic for the enemy. I should have the enemy coded by tomorrow, and then I can start working on the attacks that the player will be able to do.

Day 5:

Last night resulted in my hero being able to throw "High Heels of
Death" at the spear wielding homophobes. After you hit a particular
homophobe with enough shoes he will play his new death animation, and
then lay on the Colosseum floor for you to scoff at.

I also made my emperor's model last night. I forgot to take a
screenshot of him though so nothing to show off yet.

The next couple days should result in a textured enemy, textured
emperor, and at least another weapon for the player.

Day 6: 

I spend almost exactly 2 hours on my game last night. I think so far I've averaged about that per night, and I should be able to sprint to the end on Saturday. No time this Sunday, so I need to hurry and finish.

Last night I added a mechanism to spawn new waves of enemies when the current wave is killed. The waves increase in difficulty, and at the end I want the user to fight the boss. I still need to add the boss to the game.

I also created the player's area of effect attack last night, so now the player has a ranged and an AOE at his/her disposal. I still want to add one more attack as well, but I'm not sure what it will be yet.

Here is a preview of the AOE attack being fired. Currently, 30 hearts shoot our of the player and do damage based on how long you charged the attack to enemies within a small vicinity.

Days 7/8:

I've been very busy working on my project last night, and for most of
today. I could call my project complete as of right now, but I'm still
tinkering with it because... well... its fun. And because of my last
minute tinkering I now have three different enemies for the player to
fight. I realized that adding a boss to my game will be pretty time
consuming, but if I have a few hours tomorrow I may see what I can get
done, but for now the game plays as a horde survival game, which is
fun as well. I also may do some texturing work tomorrow, but since
that's my least favorite part its doubtful.

I guess at some point I should make an html page as well. I'm
predicting it will be very basic :)
