It’s been a while since you’ve received your last weekly update. LTG-elect just poppin in. District Convention is nearly soon, as it’s less than three weeks, 18 days to be exact! Soon enough, the current officers will be retired from their positions and their elects will take over. My term hasn’t officially started but I would just like to say a warm Hello! and introduce myself. I am very excited to work with each of one, Seamonkeys, for upcoming term. ALSO, Megen, is very relevant (and still will be after) when she retires on March 14, 2020! Keep reading to stay updated on what’s going on in Division 28 South!

Hey Seamonkey! Don’t know who I am or what to know a little bit more about me? Attached below is my “Introducing the Lieutenant Governor serving” and Letter of Introduction. Just know for my favorite music/song that it doesn’t justify my actual music taste as I listen to lots of R&B + chill music. Also, I haven’t really read a book since middle school. Hope you enjoy it!
CMN National Pancake Day
IHOP will be celebrating international pancake day by providing a free short stack of pancakes in exchange for Children's Miracle Network Hospital donations THIS Tuesday, February 25th, from 7 AM to 7 PM. Be sure to come out and support as one of our Key Club preferred charities is the Children's Miracle Network! Not only that, all donations raised will go directly to providing life-saving medical treatment and health services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care to kids in need. Invite your family and friends and share your support for Children's Miracle Network on social media by using #NATLPancakeDay! To earn Banana Bucks, make sure to tag @d28sseamonkeys and #seamonkeysnaps on Instagram.
** Please keep in mind, although you are receiving free pancakes, the donation you make will be going towards CMN. So, please be a good person and donate :)
DCON Media Team
District Convention 2020 “Service is Out There” is coming in a little less than a month, and the District Board needs help taking photos from a team of talented individuals! If you like photography, videography, cameras, and serving your community/Key Club, then take a chance to apply for the DCON Creative Media Team 2020!
Directives
In short, the Creative Media team will be assisting in the following:
Marketing
Using your creative skills, you will be working with the District Board to publicize and prepare for the District Convention.
News & Videography
You will be filming and/or interviewing attendees throughout parts of the Convention to be used for future resources.
Photography & Videography
You will be tasked with taking photos and videos of the membership during workshops, general sessions, and wherever else applicable.
If appointed, you will be able to learn more about photography, videography, have access to team restricted resources, and meet other like-minded individuals.
Submission Guidelines
The application process is simple! Email CNH DVME Derry Chen (cnhkc...@gmail.com) and CC mentor Mr. Chang (joshua...@gmail.com) with the following information and supplements:

Las Vegas Dance Marathon
If you were looking forward to Dance Marathon (known as DM) this year, due to unfortunate news, it will be cancelled for this year. Due to funding and planning, we were not able to hold the event at UNLV. This doesn’t mean Dance Marathon is gone entirely, as we are working not one but two Dance Marathons for the next school year. There will be planning to divide it among the 4 divisions with one occurring in the fall with 2 divisions and the other 2 divisions in the spring. More information will be released at a later date.
