This email is being sent by the 2020-21 Division 28 South Lieutenant Governor, Feliza Cunanan.


Welcome to the second day of May! Time sure does fly by. Keep your heads up during these times. We will get through this. As word spread quickly, the Regional Training Conference (RTC) Theme was revealed. This year's theme is Mario Ka-RTC: Racing to Serve. Please check out the video made to reveal on our division Instagram @ d28sseamonkeys. Keep reading to stay updated!


The following topics will be discussed in this email (highlighted information is new or updated):

Online Event Requirements
Please keep these points in mind when holding online events and make sure to abide by these rules:
  • 1:10 Chaperone Ratio (1 Adult to 10 Key Clubbers)
    • This must be maintained at all club and division functions even when it is only online.

District Leadership Team Applications

Division Leadership Team applications are finally out! This is a wonderful opportunity for ALL to apply to as the DLT works behind the scenes to ensure the best not only for Division 28 South, but for the whole Cali-Nev-Ha District. Along with that, you are able to get out of your comfort zone and show your dedication you have for the division you serve. Also, there's no harm in applying so please do!

  • Communications and Marketing Chair
  • District Convention Chair
  • Service Projects Chair
  • Member Recognition Chair
  • Policy, International, and Elections Chair
  • Membership Development & Education Chair
  • Kiwanis Family and Foundation Chair

The following must be completed for the application process:
  • E-Portfolio with cover page and answers to all prompts. Editor positions must attach their samples to their submission email as well.
  • Registration on the LT Applicant Registration FORM which can be found on the cyberkey.
NOTE: Applicants DO NOT need to complete the service agreement form. They are there for applicants to check board training dates to ensure that they can attend all of them. Only those appointed will need to complete the service agreement at a later time.

You can find the "What Is An E-Portfolio" video made by the 2018-2019 Member Recognition Committee HERE to assist the members you serve in their process of creating an application portfolio! Although the video was made for contest portfolios, some of the information, such as graphic standards and programs used, are still pertinent!

May DCM
The first DCM of the term is here! Although things may be different, we can't stop serving and leading. We can only go UP from there! 

When: Tuesday, May 12th
Where: Hangouts Meet
Time: 5-6 PM
Dress Code: Key Club Casual

Before filling out the form, contact your PRESIDENT to ask if the spots are filled first.
Deadline: Monday, May 11th @ 6 PM

Officer Training Conference
Officer Training Conference (OTC) was held through ZOOM since we are unable to gather in-person at this time. If you missed a presentation or would like a recap of any information, the videos are up!

Division Council Meeting Hosting!
For advisors only*
Please fill out this form for the dates you would like to host the DCM's at your respective school. 

Senior Overlays
Region 5 will be honoring the seniors for all they have done throughout their Key Club journey. Although many activities were cut short, this is a way to uplift their spirits. Key Club members will be sharing their favorite Key Club moment(s) with this seniors. The senior ads will be posted on the division Instagram and in the newsletter. A Google form will be used to collect the responses.
