The end is near!! The 72th annual District Convention is in a few days. This email contains important reminders and forms. If you are going to DCON, please read this thoroughly!

Required Forms
Attached to this email are the REQUIRED forms that must be filled out and brought to DCON. You must fill out the Key Club Medical Form, the CCSD Medical From, and the Code of Conduct. Please not that you will need to print these forms in triplicates. One will be for yourself, another for your chaperone and the last one will be given to Ms. Santee. Please do not forget these forms!

Dress Code
Dress code is covered in the Code of Conduct. dress code for each of the day is as follows:
Friday - Spirit attire, business casual option.
Saturday - Morning afternoon, Business professional, Evening, Semi-formal, business.
Sunday - Convention casual, Business casual option.

If any of you are going on stage:
Males: Coats/jackets .
Females: skirt length must be at the top of the knee or longer.

Dress code will be STRICTLY be enforced. Enforcement regarding dress code and other infractions will be issued in violations and warnings. Chaperones follow under the same dress code so please make sure that you communicate with your chaperones about the convention policies.

Exception Cards can be issued only for members whose medical or financial situations impede them from adhering to items of the Code of Conduct dress code. Cards will be issued at the SAA Booth on Friday only. They can only be promoted and only requested by adult chaperones.

SAA Procedure

SAA Procedure for club volunteers is as follows:

Registration this year will be to confirm an SAA's attendance at DCON and to confirm shift schedules as SAA should have been registered in advance and will have their shifts assigned to them in advance. Registration will last until 11:30 P.M. on Friday, though, it is important that SAAs complete registration before the SAA Meeting.

SAA Meeting/Orientation will be held during Education Session 1 at 5:30 P.M. in Nevada 1-5 on the Spa Level. It is necessary that every SAA volunteer attends as they will be receiving information regarding their duties. For SAAs who's clubs arrive late and miss the SAA Meeting, they will be expected to register at the SAA Booth as soon as possible and will receive instruction there.

Checking In/Checking Out will be the procedure to promote accountability for SAAs to attend their corresponding shift. No later than 15 minutes before their shift should SAA volunteers check-in at the SAA Booth for further instruction regarding their shift. After their shift has finished, SAA will proceed to check-out at the SAA Booth.

Delegate Registration

An important part of District Convention is electing your next District Executives (District Governor, District Secretary, and District Treasurer)! This is incredibly important, and each club must register up to two people as delegates.

HERE is the form to sign up. Once again, please make sure to do this before the actual Convention begins, so that things will run smoothly. If you do not register by the time Convention starts, however, there will be a physical booth for you to sign up, although I would recommend doing it now to save confusion and time.

Remember, please make sure that up to two delegates from your club are registered. If you only have one member attending, then you must register that one member.

Other Resources

Aside from the Medical Forms and the Code of Conduct, I have also attached other helpful resources that you might need during the Convention.

The itinerary is a very helpful resource that details the logistics of the Convention, and I advise that you take screenshots or download the PDF, so that you are able to pull it up easily when you need it. It is important to attend workshops and participate in the Convention events, so make sure you do so!

Also attached at the end of this email is the property map of the Grand Sierra Resort, which is the hotel we will be staying at. Since it is a casino, please make sure to stay away from the casino area. It is imperative that you adhere to this because if you are found hanging around the casino area, you may find yourself going home, and I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone! Therefore, you must exercise extreme caution and not do anything that you know you would get in trouble for.

Lastly, I have also attached a packing list to help you while you are packing everything. Make sure to pack enough! Dress code at the Convention is incredibly strict and you will be dress coded if you are not following the Code of Conduct's dress code. For females, it is especially important to see what the Code of Conduct says about dresses, so that you do not mistakenly get dress coded at Governor's Ball or during the Convention. For males, please make sure that you also read what the Code of Conduct has to say, as well.

Other than that, please make sure to have fun! It will be a bittersweet event, full of laughter and tears, and I would love for all of you attending to enjoy it to the fullest! With that said, make sure to attend all of the Convention activities! You didn't pay hundreds of dollars to just laze around, did you? So make sure to have fun!

IF you have any questions comments or concerns please feel free to let me know!! Be sure to find me and say hi and take pictures with me(:

Thank you!!
