This email is being sent by the 2019-2020 Division 28 South Lieutenant Governor, Megen Lopez.

Happy 3 day weekend! I hope you guys are utilizing the extra day off well- whether that be sleeping in or catching up on work. Less than a week away Division 28 South will have a Lieutenant Governor elect for the 2020-2021 term. I'm super excited, and I hope you are too!

Also, secretaries! Don't forget that your MRP is due on January 26 at 6:00 PM. For any questions, reference Secretary Melanie's and MRC Jackie's email from the previous week!

Key Club Scholarships

Are you a senior in need of more scholarships to apply for? There are two different scholarship opportunities for you! There is the CNH Children's Fund Scholarship and the Kiwanis Children's Fund Scholarship. Click on either scholarship to direct you to the application process!


For the CNH Children's Fund Scholarship, to be eligible to apply you must:

  • Be a high school senior who plans to enroll full time in a college, university, or institution of higher education in the next year
  • Have completed FAFSA
  • Most be dues-paid for the current year!
This scholarship is due Friday, January 24, 2020

For the Kiwanis Children's Fund Scholarships, to be eligible to apply you must:
  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Be dues-paid
  • Provide transcript and letter of recommendation
This scholarship is due February 1st, 2019 at 11:59 EST

Division Contests

As you should know, division contests are due tomorrow. In need of some last minute revisions? Check out how the D28S Judging Committee will be judging by watching this video here. Or are you still confused on the concept of an e-portfolio? Check out the E-portfolio guide the CNH Member Recognition Committee made by clicking here! I look forward to reading your submissions.


As a reminder, submissions are due Monday, January 20th, 2020 by 11:59 PM and sent to both me (d28s.cn...@gmail.com) and MRC Jackie (d28s....@gmail.com). Submission guidelines can be found here!

DCON Talent

Do you or someone you know have a special talent that you would like to be showcased during District Convention 2020? Well, the Member Recognition committee is looking for acts to perform during the recognition session, Saturday night of District Convention.


To apply, please fill out the entry form attached to the Talent guidelines and submit any other requested materials stated.


The deadline for this application is Wednesday, January 20th, 2020 by 11:59PM PST. However, please aim to submit applications prior to the deadline in case of the need for changes to the act, such as in the case of inability to access a file or if music contains inappropriate language. 



Conclave | January DCM
Conclave is coming up soon, in a little over a month Division 28 South will have their very own elect, the Lieutenant Governor for the 2020-2021 term! Come to Conclave as an opportunity to listen to the candidate's experiences and meet the next elected LTG!

When: January 25, 2020 | 8AM - 12PM
Where: Southwest CTA | 7050 W Shelbourne Ave, Las Vegas NV 89113
Dress Code: Key Club casual (business professional for candidates)

The January DCM is also taking place after the candidate's speeches, and we'll be making Valentine's Day Cards for children in the hospital! Along with that, we are going to be hosting a stuffed animal drive

Please ensure that the stuffed animals are in good quality, new or gently usedas these will be donated to the children along with the cards!
