Happy Lunar New Year to those who celebrate! I hope you all may have a good weekend as we have a three day weekend! Here are some reminders of upcoming events and deadlines (one of which is due tonight)!

Scholarships for Senior

Kiwanis Children's Fund scholarships are designed to help members of CKI and graduating seniors who are members of Key Club International with their education. The Children's Fund offers one universal application for all of our scholarship opportunities. Based on your answers, your application will automatically be submitted for each scholarship opportunity that you qualify for.

Kiwanis Cali-Nev-Ha Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: TODAY, February 12th, 2020 at 11:59 PM (only takes an hour to do)


District Contest (Cali-Nev-Ha)
Here are more awards to apply to! Awards will be announced at District Convention (DCON)! Help Division 28 South bring home that banana bread!

Reminders:
1) Must be a dues-paid member to apply to the contest
2) Read ALL the requirements for each contest
* Make sure you are also getting the needed signatures and service hours
3) Collect all the needed material for your e-portfolio
4) Send to cnh.kcc...@gmail.com and CC your club advisor

Wanna get to know other Key Clubbers outside of Division 28 South? Well, here's your chance! Join us for Swimming for Service! Meet Key Clubbers from Hawaii, Northern California, and Southern California!

Make sure to mark your school properly! If you don't see your school, unfortunately, you won't be able to participate.

Pal-entine February DCM
Thank you to everyone who signed for the February DCM! The agenda will be sent tomorrow! Don't forget to communicate with your Pal-entine before the DCM as you will be tested how well you know them! 

When: Tuesday, February 23rd

ERFs for Division Events
The term is closing in... and we will be soon welcoming in the new board and term. Club presidents and advisors, make sure to fill out the ERF's for the following division events: Officer Bonding, General Member Social, and Division Social. All ERF's, especially the Officer Bonding ERF, must be turned in by March 24th. If an extension is needed, please let me know! Make sure your advisor is aware of these dates as each event follows after one another. 

Please follow the 12:1 rule for chaperoning.

Swimming for Service Event

Thank you again for participating in this once-in-a-lifetime experience with us! The LTG’s from D15E, D22K, D28S, and D34N are so happy you could join us for this event and we hope one day our divisions will be reunited soon! <3

Membership Recruitment Campaign

Our membership recruitment campaign is still going on! The goal is to recruit 12 ADDITIONAL members per club after a club's first round of membership recruitment. 

There are three tiers of recognition:
  • 1st: 12 Additional Members Recruited
  • 2nd: 15 Additional Members Recruited
  • 3rd: 20 Additional Members Recruited
This is the current membership taken from the February 11th Dues Report.
