Gentile Reminder: District 2 Meeting at BBBON tomorrow!

Hi everyone!

Just to remind you..there is a Block by Block Organizing Network Meeting tomorrow, and District 2 members will have a chance to discuss the next steps to move forward in our plans for our community.

BBBON General Assembly meeting 

Thursday, June 2, 6:30 pm at

North Oakland Senior Center 
(58th and MLK Oakland, access to lot via 58th)

Oakland's Budget will also be part of the discussion. In case you aren't familiar or you haven't read too much about it, attached you will find a copy of The Mayor's budget description and a 1 page synopsis.

So what's next?

If you are on this email list, you attended the District 2 Town Hall on April 30th and therefore indicated an interest in

continuing to be a part of a community that wants to improve our neighborhood and by extension, the city of Oakland.

Thank you.

Now is the time to take that next step. The District 2 Town Hall isn't supposed to be a one time event. It's a long term project that hopefully can last long enough to make the change that we would like to see.

There are a couple of options. Stay informed and participate. 

1. Informed. 

A. Stay on this email list. Periodically you will be informed of events, plans, discussions. Forward to your friends. Send your 

     own news to share with your neighbors. 

B. Join or request to be added to the District 2 Town Hall Googlegroups.  Another avenue to share information. If enough people 

    are interested this email list might fade out..  http://groups.google.com/group/d2-townhall

C. Join the District 2 Town Hall Facebook Page. https://www.facebook.com/District2TownHall

2. Participate. 

A week from today, the Block by Block Organizing Network will be having a meeting on June 2, 6:30 pm at the North Oakland

Senior Center. 

Attend the meeting. 

Help plan the next steps for District 2

Meet more people dedicated towards improving Oakland.
