Old Perkins news

I have heard from the source that the Cremation Society of Minnesota has purchased the old Perkins next to Ho Ho Gourmet. They are in the process of stripping out the interior for a remodel. We have no site plan yet, but as soon as I get it I will let you know.

Kaling Wong at Ho Ho is not too happy about this new neighbor, but I have told her that it is actually an allowable use at the site and there isn't much to be done about it.

In discussions with the City about this site, I find that PED has been doing a demographic marketing study of the area - looking at amount of money being spent at businesses, amount being spent outside the area, vacancies and costs, etc - they are going to send the data on to us when it is complete. Should be helpful to us as we think about the redevelopment....
